This is a second year undergraduate course for students majoring in public administration and those who have an interest in learning about how governments manage public employees or human resource in public organizations to deal with change and challenges in the environment. The course addresses issues concerning the fundamental principles and practice of managing people in the public and nonprofit sectors, which include manpower planning, recruitment and selection, compensation, training and development, performance management, motivation etc.
