This course provides a practice-based exploration of digital and new media art for MFA students. The curriculum is structured around a project-based learning model, designed to help students develop the technical and conceptual skills necessary for professional artistic practice. Through a series of hands-on workshops, students will gain experience with electronics for kinetic/interactive art (sensors, motors, microprocessors) and creative coding. Theoretical seminars and regular critiques will provide a framework for students to contextualize their practice and refine their conceptual goals, culminating in the production of a significant new artwork or project.
