This course has been designed to promote and encourage the Portuguese-speaking countries (PSC) scientific study, adopting both perspectives: Political Science and International Relations. The study of PSC will be organized in three groups (Group 1 – Portugal and Brazil; Group 2 - Portuguese-speaking small developing island states; Group 3 - African Portuguese-speaking countries), taking into consideration their intrinsic political and cultural characteristics as well as their regional location. In addition, this academic program builds purposefully on bilateral and multilateral relations with the Portuguese-speaking countries and how Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) is playing an important role on this multi-layered construction. Furthermore, this course also aims to encourage further post-graduate research on PSC in specific or thematic areas.
