This course is designed to enable students to learn the significance of data visualization in data science, and to develop the knowledge and skills required to present quantitative data using visualization tools. The course emphasizes practical aspects of data science with a focus on using computational methods to process data, produce visualizations, and interpret these visualizations. Students also learn how to think critically about the presentation of visual information and to design attractive, intuitive figures for scientific and commercial applications.
