This general education course aims to explore,
on one hand, the shifting patterns of medical concepts, pharmaceutical theories
and therapeutic practices in global history, over a space stretching from
Europe across Asia, to Africa and the Americas. On the other hand, this course
will also cover pivotal topics in medical advances, providing an up-to-date
framework for understanding diseases, health sciences, and their relationships
to society.
