This course introduces the essential knowledge of biomedical sciences. It covers basic concepts of molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, and immunology. It introduces the mechanisms of genetics, epigenetics, gene expression, cell division, and cell death. It uses cancer as a model disease to introduce the causes of cancer and mechanisms of cancer therapies. It also introduces wide ranges of techniques used in biomedical research.
