understanding and appreciation of the important and multifaceted roles that
drugs play in our daily life. It explains the differences between drugs and
foods, the impact of drugs in human society and today’s health care system, the
process of developing a new drug, the trend in modern drug research, and the
job prospects in pharmaceutical industries. No previous background in
pharmaceutical or life sciences is required.
