Dear Students,

Contemporary Issues of International Law

Our course purports to do what its title announces: to look at late developments in the international legal order. More specifically, we shall be focusing on 3 key areas where we shall try to detect the main developments occurring in International Law: subjects; sources; modes of implementation/enforcement.

For that, I am hereby inviting you to start doing research on topics related to these developments according to the underlying list where these topics shall be randomly associated with your email address and tentative date for presenting a PowerPoint with your findings on the matter. I shall be conducting the first classes where the fundamental issues shall be configured and should provide the context for your own contributions, which shall always be discussed by us all together.

I trust that this message sets out clearly what I purport us to do over the coming weeks and scheduled sessions of this Course. I however remain available for any further clarification that you may deem necessary as well as for assistance in the research to be undertaken.

Thanking in advance for your kind attention to these, I remain yours sincerely,

Paulo Canelas de Castro
